We are pleased to announce the publication of a new article in the Journal of Gender and History (A&HCI/SSCI​): "Female Emotional Interactions in Medieval Flanders : Emotional Communities of Twelfth-Century Guines and Ardres". In this research article, Prof. Yongku Cha shows how stories of positive emotional interaction between female lords and subordinate women in twelfth-century Flanders challenge traditional views of feudal society as one of inherent class antagonism.
