We are pleased to announce the publication of a new article in the Journal of Gender and History (A&HCI/SSCI): “Female Emotional Interactions in Medieval Flanders: Emotional Communities of Twelfth-Century Guines and Ardres.” In this research article, Prof. Yongku Cha examines how narratives of positive emotional interactions between female lords and subordinate women in twelfth-century Flanders challenge the conventional portrayal of feudal society as inherently defined by class antagonism.​
