Delegation from Ural Federal University of Russia Visits CAU Department of History

Chung-Ang University (CAU) and Ural Federal University of Russia held a meeting between their Department of History on Nov 22 (Fri). A Ural Federal University delegation consisting of First Deputy Director Valery Gudov of the Institute of Humanities and Arts, Prof. Julia Zapary of Department of History, Prof. Sungjae Lim, Irina Musinova of the Academy of Korean Studies attended the meeting, which was scheduled to be proceeded as follows: Introduction of each institute; exchange of academic achievements, discussion on further researcher exchange and holding joint academic conferences; and a campus tour.

The Institute of Humanities and Arts of Ural Federal University, which has been publishing academic materials in journals indexed in Scopus such as Quaestio Rossica, provided insight in finding ways to publish the research achievements of students of CAU Graduate School of History in those journals. Such efforts to promote academic exchange between two universities are expected to increase the submission of papers written by researchers abroad to the Journal of Joong-ang Historical Studies, which is now preparing for its application for Scopus indexing.
